New Minecraft Launcher Starts With A Grey Screen System Restore is the first line of defense and can bring you back to a time before the issue started as a time machine. If it doesn't work, you can try to undo it. Read about it first in the tutorial above , and then try restoring to just before the issue started. Make it a priority now in case System Restore isn't enabled on C drive to make it available in the future. If the problem repeats or System Restore doesn't work then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8280-hide-s... Even if it is the first time you tried the steps I have provided, please repeat them in order. 1) Run the Store apps troubleshooter at Settings > Update and Security > Troubleshoot. 2) Search for and install game updates on Microsoft Store app > Hub (three dots at the top right) > Updates. 3) Try resetting Minecraft in Windows Settings > Apps > Features & Apps > Minecraft > Advanced Options > Repair or Reset. Restart your computer and try it again. If none of these work, uninstall Minecraft from Settings above, reboot your computer then reinstall the program from MS Store Hub (three dots in the upper right corner of the Store app) > My Library. 4) The driver for the Display is so crucial that updating it often is not enough. Therefore, let's try every option to get it working correctly: Update the Display driver from the PC or Display adapter manufacturer's Support Downloads webpage for the exact model number, HP Serial Number or Dell Service Tag - which is located on the sticker on the PC. You can also look for BIOS/UEFI firmwares, the latest chipsets and network, sound and other drivers by right-clicking on the Start Menu. If this doesn't give you the latest or ideal driver for what you need, compare it to the driver offered by the Intel driver update Utility here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/... or the Nvidia Update utility here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=e... or the AMD autodect utility here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/P... For Display issues, one solution that works is to Roll back or uninstall the Driver on the Display Device > Driver tab, restart PC to reinstall driver. You can also test older drivers in Device Manager > Display device > Driver tab > Update Driver > Browse > Let Me Pick. Then you will know you've tried everything in addition to Windows Update drivers. You can adjust the resolution of the screen until it appears good. minecraft servers list Go to Settings > System > Display. 5) If nothing else helps then contact Minecraft Support here: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new I hope you find this useful. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. If you'll wait to let me know if my article solved your issue, I will keep working with you until the issue is resolved. ______________________________________________ Standard Disclaimer: There are links to non-Microsoft websites.
